AZ-AP201 Series · Portable Veterinary Dental Units
Portable Veterinary Dental Units for Animal Clinics
A mobile exam room that a mixed-animal or small-animal dental practice can wheel between suites: compressor, suction, handpieces, scaler and curing light built into one unit on locking casters. Choose the base cart, or step up to onboard imaging and intraoral X-ray as the caseload grows.
- 5 build levels, one shared base unit
- 550W · built-in oil-free air compressor
- 58dB operating noise
- 4 locking casters, no dedicated air line required
Why a self-contained cart
The exam room wasn't built for dentistry, so the equipment has to bring its own.
Most small-animal and veterinary dental procedures still happen in rooms sized for physicals, not oral surgery. A unit that supplies its own compressed air, suction and lighting removes the three biggest constraints on where and how fast a dental workup can happen.
01
No dedicated air line in the room
A built-in oil-free compressor means the high-speed handpiece, scaler and 3-way syringe run at 0.8Mpa without a wall-mounted compressor or a separate air tank taking up floor space.
02
Instruments scattered across trays
Suction, handpieces, scaler and curing light are mounted on one cart instead of five separate cords and trays, so a technician can find and hand off a tool without leaving the patient.
03
The unit needs to move, not the patient
Four casters with individual wheel locks let the same cart serve a dental suite, a surgical overflow room, or a mobile clinic setup, and lock in place once it's positioned chairside.
Build levels
Every tier keeps the same base cart. Each one adds exactly one capability.
There's a single hardware platform underneath all five listings: the 550W cart with built-in compressor, suction, high- and low-speed handpieces, scaler and curing light. From there, each step up is additive, so a practice can start at the level it needs and read straight down the list to see what changes. Click any photo or product name to open its full spec page.

Common questions
What practices ask before choosing a tier
Q. What's the actual difference between the AZ-AP201-1 and AZ-AP201-2?
The AZ-AP201-2 is the AZ-AP201-1 base cart with an HD oral camera and a 23.8" touchscreen all-in-one PC added. Every mechanical component, the compressor, handpieces, scaler, curing light and suction, is identical between the two. The -2 is for practices that want to capture and display intraoral images and keep digital case records; it does not add a lamp or X-ray.
Q. Do the AZ-AP201-3, -4 and -5 all include the camera and computer?
Yes. The AZ-AP201-3, AZ-AP201-4 and AZ-AP201-5 are each built on top of the AZ-AP201-2 configuration, so all three include the HD oral camera and the all-in-one PC. From that shared point, -3 adds a standard LED dental lamp, -4 adds a butterfly lamp with a whitening function, and -5 adds a portable X-ray machine and sensor in place of a lamp.
Q. Can the AZ-AP201-3 and AZ-AP201-4 both have a lamp and an X-ray at the same time?
No. Each unit has one flexible arm mounted on the cart, and that arm carries either a lighting lamp (AZ-AP201-3, AZ-AP201-4) or the X-ray machine and sensor (AZ-AP201-5), not both. A practice that needs both dedicated lamp illumination and onboard X-ray would need to evaluate the arm as a single-purpose fixture per unit.
Q. Is the X-ray machine on the AZ-AP201-5 fixed to the cart?
No. The intraoral X-ray head on the AZ-AP201-5 detaches from the arm for handheld use and weighs 1.7kg. It's designed to be used with the digital sensor either mounted on the arm for a stable angle, or removed and positioned by hand for a specific shot.
Q. Does the unit need a separate air compressor or suction line installed in the room?
No. Every AZ-AP201 tier, from the base model through the complete system, has a built-in silent oil-free air compressor rated to 0.8Mpa and its own suction tube. The cart only needs a standard 220V/50Hz or 110V/60Hz outlet to run.
Q. How loud is the unit while the compressor is running?
58dB across all five configurations, roughly the level of normal conversation. The compressor is built into the cart housing and runs oil-free, which keeps operating noise consistent whether the unit is running the scaler, the handpiece, or suction.
