Mobile & Portable Dental Units
Dental units that don't need a plumbed treatment room.
Each unit on this page packs its own air compressor, suction, handpieces, curing light and ultrasonic scaler into one cart or case. Plug into a wall outlet and you have a working operatory — in a fixed room, a mobile clinic, or the back of a veterinary practice.
What is a mobile dental unit?
A mobile dental unit is a self-contained treatment system that houses its own air compressor, suction pump, dental handpieces, curing light and scaler inside a single cart or case. Unlike a chair-mounted delivery unit, it doesn't connect to building plumbing or a central compressor — it runs from one standard power outlet (220V/50Hz or 110V/60Hz), which is why it's used for permanent rooms without dental lines, mobile outreach dentistry, and veterinary dental suites.
The four units below — AP202-1, AP202-2, AP303 and AP304 — share the same core instrument set (suction, 3-way syringe, LED high-speed handpiece, low-speed handpiece set, LED curing light, and a Woodpecker-original ultrasonic scaler) and differ mainly in how they're carried and where they're used.

Featured · for in-clinic use
A mobile unit for a room without plumbed dental lines.
The AP202-1 and AP202-2 stay on site, rolling between rooms on silent casters instead of being unpacked each visit. The difference between them is the low-speed handpiece drive: AP202-1 uses an electric micro motor, AP202-2 uses a standard air motor.

Electric micro motor
AZ-AP202-1 Mobile Dental Unit with Micro Motor
Runs the low-speed handpiece off an electric micro motor rather than an air motor, for more consistent torque at low RPM — useful for finishing and polishing work in both human and veterinary dental cases.

Standard air motor
AZ-AP202-2 Mobile Dental Unit
The air-motor counterpart to the AP202-1, with the same silent-caster cart and built-in compressor. The more familiar handpiece feel for clinics standardizing on air-driven low-speed instruments.

For off-site & mobile care
Carry the operatory to the patient.
The AP303 and AP304 are built to travel: zip closed, wheel out, set up chairside in minutes. Both hold either 6 or 4 instruments — pick 4 if you run a lean two-handpiece setup, or 6 if the scaler and curing light need to stay mounted alongside the handpieces.

Suitcase style · most air reserve
AZ-AP303 Mobile Dental Suitcase
The largest air tank in the range (6L stainless) means fewer compressor cycles during back-to-back patients — the version to choose for a full day of outreach dentistry or veterinary dental days away from base.

Compact case · lightest to carry
AZ-AP304 Compact Mobile Dental Unit
Same instrument set as the AP303 in a smaller case with a 1L tank, at roughly 20kg gross. Choose this one when the priority is minimizing what you carry between visits, not maximizing air reserve.

Human dental clinics
One cart, no plumbing crew
Every unit here runs from a standard outlet, so a satellite room, a converted space, or a temporary clinic can have a working chairside setup without routing air and water lines through the floor or wall.
Veterinary dental suites
Built for animal dentistry too
The same compressor, suction and scaler that support human restorative work also cover veterinary scaling, polishing and extractions — useful where a practice runs both a human bay and an animal dental table off one unit.

Mobile dental unit FAQ
No. All four units — AP202-1, AP202-2, AP303 and AP304 — have a built-in air compressor and self-contained water/suction path. You plug into a 220V/50Hz or 110V/60Hz outlet and the unit is ready; no external compressor, water line, or floor plumbing is required.
Both are cart-mounted mobile units on silent casters for in-clinic use, with the same power, pressure and voltage specs. The AP202-1 drives its low-speed handpiece with an electric micro motor and includes a 1:5 fiber optic contra-angle handpiece. The AP202-2 uses a standard internal-water air-motor handpiece set with a straight and contra-angle attachment.
Both are suitcase-style units with the same instrument set and a choice of 6 or 4 instrument holders. The AP303 carries a larger 6L air tank and weighs about 32kg net, giving it more air reserve for continuous use. The AP304 uses a smaller 1L tank in a more compact case at roughly 20kg gross, trading air reserve for less weight to carry.
Yes. All four units are used in both human and veterinary dental settings. The built-in ultrasonic scaler, high-speed handpiece and suction cover routine scaling, polishing and extraction work in animal dentistry as well as human restorative procedures.
Choose 6 holders if you want the curing light, scaler and both handpieces mounted and ready at once. Choose 4 holders if your workflow only needs the high- and low-speed handpieces mounted, with the scaler and curing light used less frequently — the 4-holder configuration keeps the case layout simpler.
The AP202-1 and AP202-2 use a silent oil-free compressor, sized for continuous operation next to the patient chair without the noise level of a shop-style compressor. The AP303 and AP304 run at 38 dB, close to a quiet library room.
